Cairo Oils and Soap Company is an Egyptian joint-stock company established on July 12, 1953, with its shares listed on the Egyptian Exchange on May 5, 1999. The company’s issued and paid-up capital amounts to EGP 312 million.
The company specializes in the refining and packaging of vegetable oils and the production of vegetable ghee, both for its own brands and for third parties, in addition to the import and export of vegetable oils and ghee. The company also owns a station for receiving and storing vegetable oils at the Adabiya Port on the Red Sea, with a storage capacity of 16,500 metric tons.
The company’s factory in the city of Al-Ayyat, Giza Governorate, is the main center for operations involving the refining and packaging of vegetable oils and the production of vegetable ghee.
Throughout its history, the company has offered a wide range of brands through which it has successfully strengthened its presence and increased its market share. The most prominent of these include:
- Oils Category: Katfa (Corn Oil and Sunflower Oil), Agab (Mixed Oil and Olein Oil).
- Ghee Category: Katfa, Agab (with flavors: Yellow Butter, Falahi Butter, Cream, New Zealander).
The company is an accredited entity by the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA), having been included in the White List, which comprises establishments that meet safety and quality requirements.

The new management of the company took charge in 2022 under exceptional circumstance yet the company was ability to implement the restructure plan, raising the efficiency of workers, developed and refurbished production and packaging lines and enhance sales.
