Olein Oil
Palm olein, a derivative of palm oil, is the world’s most popular and widely produced and consumed vegetable oil. Palm oil is known for its balanced fatty acid composition, with 50% saturated fats and 50% unsaturated fats, further divided into 40% monounsaturated fats and 10% polyunsaturated fats. The monounsaturated fats are primarily composed of oleic acid (omega-9), while the saturated fats are mainly composed of palmitic acid.
Being plant-based, palm oil is naturally cholesterol-free and contains various beneficial plant nutrients, including vitamin E, squalene, coenzyme Q10, and phytosterols. These nutrients contribute to palm oil’s role beyond mere calories in our diet, playing a crucial part in the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins like vitamins A, D, E, and K.
